A Look At Music That's Different

Empowered Soap Stars Unite for the Queens of Drama Series

Crystal Hunt is a renowned American actress best known for her memorable roles as Lizzie Spaulding on Guiding Light and Stacy Morasco on One Life to Live. Crystal told fans on Facebook she began her love of acting at the age of two in pageants and talent shows. She later got a jumpstart to her career when she starred in a major Disney Commercial for their 25th Anniversary and an anti-drug campaign with NSYNC.

Her diversity comes from her work as an entrepreneur and producer which FamousBirthdays notes. She was the owner of the high end “My Pets Dream Boutique” in Clearwater, Florida and her first feature film (which she produced) was “Talbot County” with fellow actress and friend Dania Ramirez in 2014. Most recently Crystal Hunt’s work can be seen in Magic Mike XXL, where she plays Lauren and in Queens of Drama where she plays herself.

Queens of Drama is a “girl power” packed show starring Crystal Hunt, Lindsay Hartley, Vanessa Marcil, Chrystee Pharris and Hunter Tylo. Queens of Drama was picked up by POP in April of 2015 and with ten episodes under season one’s belt, season two was picked up.

The show is an empowering look at “sisters doing it for themselves” as the actresses take control of their careers and start doing things on their own terms. It has garnered great respect and a following because it gives us a glimpse into the lives of many of our favorite soap actresses all under one roof. However, viewers are given an inside look into the savviness of these women, as they are a no-nonsense business entrepreneurs who form their own production company, to take Hollywood by storm on their terms.  For a better taste of the talent on the show, Crystal has a reel on YouTube that showcases her acting chops.

John Joseph says:

The reality series follows former soap actresses on a mission. They team up to develop, pitch, produce and star in their own show with the hopes that they will land a pilot by the end of the season. And I think will definitely make it go well.
